I had my first terrifying experience with my beloved dog Belle. I got her when she was 6 months old at the Humane society of seattle. We went to dog training. She has both knees done. Well last week she wasn't eating much, so we took her in. She was anemic, took Xrays a huge tumor on her spleen..She had emergency surgery and out a came a 2 1/2 lb tumor, I gasped when I saw it. This thing grew in a year, she had xrays last year. I had a rot with a tumor in her chest but it was to late to get it out and she passed. This is JUST my opinion, but if you can afford it, get a chest/abdomen on a year. These things grow so fast, she would have died that day had we not take it out it was hemorrhaging.

She is getting acupuncture from the lovely Ms Lena!!!

I'm so happy you were able to find Belle's tumor early enough to save her life! It is so important to do routine monitoring with these older animals. If a tumor or disease is caught early often it can be cured or managed, but when it is too late it is so heartbreaking. This is a very important reminder, thanks for making it!
