FAQ
What is your veterinary background?
I have been a veterinarian since 1999. I began my career at the Seattle Humane Society. Over the years I have worked for Lien Animal Clinic in West Seattle, Allpet Veterinary Clinic in Shoreline and a non-profit called the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project. In 2004 I began training in veterinary acupuncture with Dr. Richard Panzer at the American Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Today I have a small practice in West Seattle where I practice exclusively acupuncture and herbal medicine. For more information on my practice you can visit Kingdom of Basil.
Can I bring my animal to see you?
I have a very busy practice in West Seattle and am sometimes not able to take new animal patients, however I have three other incredible veterinary acupuncturists who work out of my clinic! I have provided contacts for other veterinary acupuncturists in the Seattle area in my links page. If you are out of the Seattle area please see my article on finding a holistic vet to work with – How to Find a Good Holistic Vet. I do not do phone consultations.
Can I email you with veterinary questions?
I can not legally answer medical questions without a client/patient relationship. Please do not email me your animal’s medical history or write it out in the comments. In addition to not being able to legally treat your animal I just do not have the time to read all the histories I get. Please do email me at pathwithpaws (at) gmail (dot) com with suggestions for this website, topics which would be helpful to you, and with any problems withthis site.
I will no longer answer comments that ask me to repeat what is written in the article, or comments asking if what I have written really works. I would not be investing the time I do on this website if I didn’t think the information I was providing was accurate, good and worked. Everything I write about, I actively use in my practice.
Why did my comment not appear on the website?
Comments are closed 90 days after an article appears. If you are commenting on a recent article and you haven’t commented before I will need to verify that you are not a bot or spammer. After one comment is approved your comments should appear instantly.
Why do you have a button to support Path With Paws?
I put a lot of time and energy into my writing. At the same time I believe information that can help people and animals should be freely shared, that anyone should have access to it regardless of finances. However in this world we all need money to support ourselves. So I am asking that if you find what is here to be valuable to consider making a small contribution to support this work. See my article A world of sharing and trust – why everything on Path With Paws is free and sharable
Can I buy a copy of your book on cancer?
Yes you can download the beta ebook version here.

All my articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-ShareAlike license which lets you share them, provided that you do so on a noncommercial basis.
