MemberPerfect – thanks!
I don’t know if made a difference, but I have been putting lysine and apolactoferrin (which I have on hand for my old dogs) in their food, and their sneezing is pretty non-existent now.

MemberThank you for your response, Lena! Great links! Joxer is maybe 2/3 of the way back but sort of stalled out. There’s a swim therapy place near his vet. How often should they have that kind of therapy? My hubby and are I both recently unemployed so need to find the least expensive solutions possible!

MemberI forgot to add that the Resinalle is to be given twice a day on an empty stomach.

MemberWow, thanks for the information, Lena! That explains a lot! If I were in your area I’d bring Jox to you! I find myself wondering if my vet is really on his case accurately, but then she is well respected in our area and has actually gone to China to learn…but then I really only see little change in him since I started going there but I have spent many hundreds of dollars! I don’t see that western medicine has much to offer him, though.
Thanks for your help – happy Easter!

MemberMy dog Joxer, who I posted about for the flea allergy, is 13 and has really slowed down over the last year. He doesn’t have stamina, has more muscle weakness, low energy. Lena, you described him as a chronic damp heat dog. My vet put him on Wei Qi Booster, which may be helping. Would XFZYT be more appropriate? Also, I found online that you just can’t buy Wei Qi Booster unless you are a practitioner, whereas many other chinese herbs/preparations can be. Why is that?
Thanks!

MemberThanks so much, Lena! I will try the eyebright. How often does that need to be given to be helpful?

MemberThank you, Lena. My vet did say Advantage, not Frontline if I am going to use one of them. He is on a grain-free/very low carb raw diet – I can only imagine how he’d be on a commercial kibble diet. If he keeps at it I will contact my vet about getting steroids – I hate having to cave and do it but he needs the relief. I will ask her about the Nettle tincture as well.
